Mary Ann Robinson

Mary Ann Robinson, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. She left this world to begin her eternal heavenly life surrounded by her family.

A native of Akron, Ohio, Mary Ann graduated from Kenmore High School and began her career in administrative management, working her way up in positions within the trucking industry, medical profession, and city government where she retired from the Nicholasville Planning Commission in 2002.

Mary Ann enjoyed her retirement volunteering many hours in the local school where her grandsons, Leo and Lucas Bertucci, attended.  She was most happy surrounded by young children and was fondly known as “Miss” by many of them.

She is joined in Heaven by her mother, Suzanne Hidock Soroka; father, Frank Soroka; brother, Michael Soroka; and husband, Robert E. Robinson.

She is survived by her daughter Bethann (Kevin) Franke of Louisville, KY; grandson Leo Bertucci of Louisville, KY; grandson Lucas Bertucci of New Haven, CT; Frank (Rosemary) Soroka of North Canton, OH; Carol Jacobs of Akron, OH; and Stephen “Ron” (Cece) Soroka of South Lebanon, OH.  In addition, Mary Ann leaves numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Friends may call from 10:30 a.m.-12 Noon on Saturday March 9, 2024 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lakewood Cemetery in Akron.

Pall bearers will be grandson Leo Bertucci, grandson Lucas Bertucci, son-in-law Kevin Franke, nephew Don Jacobs, nephew Scott Jacobs, nephew Jon Soroka, and nephew Ryan Cook.
