Robert (Bob) W. Myers III, 72, of Akron went home to be with the Lord, November 25, 2016 in the loving arms of his wife of over 25 years, Peggy Myers. Four days prior to Bob's passing, he and Peggy renewed their wedding vow's. Robert was born to the late Robert and Peggy (Roth) Myers in Columbus, Ohio on June 16, 1944.
He was a graduate of Kenmore High School, served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as an electronics engineer and retired from Shell Oil in Bakersfield, CA. He was well respected for his knowledge in electronics and computers and was always glad to help others.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Myers; sister, Wanda (Myers) Midgley and stepson, Richard Spoerl; he leaves behind is much loved daughter, Annalene Myers of Rancho Cordova, CA; beloved wife, Peggy M. Myers; step children, Mark (Teresa) Rose of Bakersfield, CA, Michelle Runyan and Christiana (Roger) Poe of Lincoln, NE; sisters, Rebecca (Steve) Moore of North Canton, Peggy (Don) Richards of Springdfiled Township; brother-in-law, Tom (Wanda) Midgley of Massillon, OH, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd., Akron. Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Fr. Michael B. Smith officiating. V.F.W Post #3383 will conduct Military Honors.
