Alan R Bradshaw Profile Photo

Alan Ray Bradshaw, 64, passed away unexpectedly on January 15th, 2022. He was a Kenmore graduate, class of 1976 where he played tackle for the Kenmore Cardinals his senior year. Alan was employed by Wright Tool & Forge and planned on retiring in April after 40 long years of dedication.

As a family man, he spent most of his days spending it with his wife. Kayaking was the most recent activity they enjoyed together. He loved taking weekend trips with his best friend Greg; the most recent one being Washington, D.C.  Saturday morning breakfasts to local spots were always planned with his daughter, Samantha and son in law, Carl. He was so thankful for technology as it allowed him to have weekly video chats with his son Matthew, and he could watch his grandchildren grow.

To most he was known as Big Al and was true to that name. He towered over everyone in the room with his height and his love. Alan was the most lovable man, some would even call him a “teddy bear”. He could strike up a conversation with anybody in a room and the exchange always flowed with the endless amount of “worthless trivia” that he had.

Alan’s children were the pride and joy of his life. His legacy will live on in them with his kind spirit, the sunshine he radiated, and selfless personality.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ethel; father, Carol and brother, Robert. Survived by his wife of almost 35 years, Aimee; his children Matthew (Kiara) and Samantha (Carl); grandchildren, Amani and Liam and his best friend of over 45 years Greg Might, along with countless additional family and friends.

Friends may call from 4-7 on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron.
