Alice L. (Beitzel) Bittinger, 96, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020. She was born in Grantsville, Maryland on August 1, 1923, the daughter of Henry and Cynthia (nee Synder) Beitzel; the ninth of twelve children. She moved to Akron in 1944 when her husband, Sherman, started a job
at B.F. Goodrich.
She was a member of The Kenmore Church of Christ where she taught first graders in Sunday School for over 35 years. She loved God, Jesus and her family and was a devoted wife, mom, grandma (Magy) and great grandma.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Sherman. She is survived by her son, Gerald (Sheryl) Bittinger of Barberton and daughter, Michele (Joe) Massaro of Norton; grandchildren, Alan (Sarah) Bittinger of Barberton, Amy (David) Kaser of Wadsworth, Kevin Bittinger of Brooksville, Florida, Megan (Jeremy)
Latchic of Seville, Matthew (Cassandra) Massaro of Doylestown and Michael (Chelsea) Massaro
of Norton; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Jared and Molly Bittinger of Barberton, Natalyn and Ariana Kaser of Wadsorth, Drew and Tripp Bittinger of Brooksville, Florida, Grady, Luke and Carter Latchic of Seville, Sydney Massaro of Norton and identical twin girls due in March, Meredith and Norah Massaro of Doylestown; sister and brother-in-law, Hollie and Bill Fazenbaker of Westernport, Maryland; sister-in-law, Mary Beitzel of Grantsville, Maryland and numerous nieces and nephews.

788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Klein officiating. Burial will take place in Grantsville, Maryland.
