Arvel " Red " E. Brackett 102, a lifetime resident of the area went home to be with the Lord, March 18, 2017.He was born August 25, 1914 in Ashbysberg, Kentucky to Forrest and Mallie Brackett.

Red was a member of the Seville United Methodist Church where he was a Lay Leader, a Boy Scout Leader and a 1933 Kenmore High School graduate. He held memberships in Open M, Victory Lodge # 649 F&A.M. A.A.S.R. Valley of Akron and organized trips for senior citizens.

Preceded in death by his parents; his wife of sixtytwo years Bernice; his brother and sister-in-law, Burt and Barbara Brackett; sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Joe T Qualls; he is survived by daughters Judith (William) Hardgrove, Suzanne (Larry) Weiser and Francy Mascarenus; thirteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Seville United Methodist Church, 74 West Main Street Seville, Ohio 44273 with Pastor Donald L. Trigg officiating. For those who wish, memorial contributions can be made to the church.
