Barbara J Boyles

Barbara J. Boyles, 89, of Akron went home to be with the Lord, January 18, 2022. She was born April 7, 1932 in Akron, Ohio to the late Johnny and Margaret (nee Casto) Jones.

She was a graduate of Central Hower High School, an animal lover and an avid reader. She also enjoyed doing artwork, her church, her family and especially her sweets. Barbara was also a member of Hope United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James Hays and Howard Boyles; sister, Beverly; brother, Dennis and granddaughter, Lindsey Rose Worner. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters, Barbara Ann Worner, Kimberly White, Kay Hays-Skidmore and Elizabeth Maude Hays; sister, Sandra Smith; sister-in-laws, Linda Jones and Carol Lynn; grandchildren, Sam Garcia and Bryan Hays, Elizabeth White, Carly and Amelia Skidmore, and Mitchell Potts; great grandchild, Chayton Garcia and eight nieces and nephews."She was a strong, kind and compassionate woman who taught her daughters to be the same.

The family wishes to extend gratitude to the healthcare providers at Summa, Summa Home Health, Summa Hospice and Rockynol Nursing Facility."

Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. A Memorial Service will be held 6 p.m. at the Funeral Home. For those that wish, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's association, 1815 W. Market St, Akron, OH 44313.
