Betty J Garner

Betty J. Garner,
98, of Akron went home to be the Lord, September 5, 2022. She was born October 13,
1923 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Dillis and Florence (nee Rossert) Lincicome.
She was self-employed
as a beautician and worked for Sun Rubber for several years. She was a graduate
of Kenmore High School and a member of the Akron Baptist Temple. Betty enjoyed crocheting
baby blankets for over ten years for the pregnancy center, going to church, doing
yardwork, going out to eat and spending time with her family. Saturday mornings
were among her favorites as she loved listening to polka music. She also enjoyed
listening to the Indians/Guardians games and the Browns.
She was preceded
in death by her husband of fifty two years, Harold; son, Larry; brothers, Al, Bob
and Del; sister, Nancy Conner. She is survived by her loving son and caretaker who
always referred to her as “MAMA”, Gary; sister, Alice Stonebrook; one granddaughter;
nieces, nephews and other family members.

from 5-6 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral
Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral Services will be held 6 p.m. with Elder Don
Pucak officiating. Private burial will be held at Lakewood Cemetery at a later time.
