Betty Jane Rodger
March 17, 1924 — September 29, 2013
Betty Jane Rodger, 89 yrs. of Akron, went home to be with the Lord, September 29, 2013. A life resident of the area and a homemaker, she was a Past matron of fernleaf Chapter #422 OES and a current member of Anna Dean Chapter #595 O.E.S and the Telephone Pioneers.
Preceded in death by her parents; Russell and Elise Kemmerling Wood, and her beloved husband; Richard, she is survived by sons; Rick of Akron, Bob (Delores) of Clinton, daughter; Janet Schroeter of Barberton, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, brother; Ronald Wood of Akron.
Friends may gather Sunday, October 6, 2013, at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Chapel, 788 Kenmore Blvd., where Anna Dean Chapter will hold Star services at 7 p.m. and Pastor Andy Smith will conduct funeral services at 7:30 p.m.. There will be no calling hours and private burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. For those that wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Telephone Pioneers
