Betty Jane Mcvickar

Betty jane McVickar, 89 , of Akron went home to be with the Lord, December 28, 2013.
A life resident of the area, she retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber after many years of service. Betty was a member of Kenmore United Methodist Church before becoming an active member of Firestone Park United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents; John and Helen Bolt Moore; beloved husband; David, dear son; David, and brothers; Max and Johnny Moore, she is survived by daughter-in-law; Peggy Mc Vickar, granddaughters; Valerie (Allen) Short and Lindsey McVickar, great-grandson; Jaxen Short, all of Florida, and many other relatives.
Memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m. January 9, 2014 at Firestone Park United Methodist Church, 250 N. Firestone Blvd., Akron, 44301, Rev Patricia Christ officiating. Inurnment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. For those that wish, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
