Beverly Ann (Pierce) Stickler, 71-years-old, went home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2020 surrounded by her loving family after her valiant fight with a long-term illness. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in the Lord, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through until her final day. Yet even throughout her own struggle with these illnesses, she reached out to her many family members and friends to make sure they all were okay.
Known for her ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers, some may be surprised to learn of the extreme shyness of her youth. Yet even as a child, she possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love and faith to her family and friends. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten.
Beverly was born on November 26,1948 in Akron, Ohio to Wilbur and Anna Mae Pierce. Her spirit is carried on by her surviving children, Christopher (Robert), Edward, Donald (Jessica), Joann, Roberta (Edward); sisters, Linda, and Diane, her brothers, Jim and Eric; step-mother, Margaret; her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten. She is preceded in death with her parents, Wilbur and Anna Mae; sister, Joann; brothers, Wilbur Jr., Ronnie, and Dale; her son, Richard; her sister and brother in law, Charlotte and Rich, and is reunited with her husband, LeRoy. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to name individually, and distant family and friends - either through prayer and/or visits, we thank you most sincerely.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron with Fr. Michael B. Smith officiating.
