Bonnie L (French) Lawrence
December 7, 1942 — June 20, 2017
Bonnie L. French Lawrence, 74 years, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord June 20, 2017. A life resident of Akron, Bonnie graduated from South High and in 1960 married the love of her life Donald Lawrence.
She retired from the Akron Public Schools in 2006 as Food Manager for Innes Jr. High School, and was a long time member of Miller Avenue United Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her parents, Mary L. and Roland E. French, and brothers, Roland and Delbert French; she is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Don; daughters, Tracy Salyer of Columbus and Sherry (Michael) Miller of Bath; grandchildren, Breanna and Corbin Salyer and Nathan and Daniel Miller; special sisters-in-law, Rudi French Rorrer, Kay Scaffidi, Sharon French and Sue Stanley, and was loved by many nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to all the nurses at Barberton Hospital Oncology Unit, the Palliative Care Unit and finally Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Bonnie.
Friends may call Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Chapel, 788 Kenmore Blvd., where funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2017, with Rev. Steven Clifford officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
