Carol A (Jennings) Garman

Carol A. Garman, 80, departed her loving family on the Pink full moon of Easter day, April 17, 2022. Carol was born August 23, 1941 in Barberton, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents Frederick H. and Thelma M. Jennings and sister Nancy.

She graduated from St. Mary's Parish High School and attended the University of Akron. She enjoyed a long career at Sears & Roebuck Company. She was a loving, caring and generous person with a strong passion for politics and social issues. She was a great conversationalist, had many friends, and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children Michelle (Troy) Owens, Georgeann (Dave) Jones, Don (Holly) Garman, and Jean Owens (fiancée Tom Pavlik). Grandchildren, Dustin (Julia) Owens, Eric Owens (fiancée Genna Hailey), CJ Pinter, Alec Pinter, Cody (Emmie) Garman, Kaylee Garman, Timmy Owens, Taylor Owens, Lauren (Shaun) Nagle, Tyler (Allison) Jones and Makenzie (Doug) Snodgrass, as well as 4 great grandchildren, Killian, Braxton, Chloe and Cohen. Carol is also survived by her brothers Fred, Jim, William and families.

Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd., Akron. Mass of the Christian burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located at 2101 17th Street SW, Akron on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment immediately following mass at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in her memory would be appreciated.
