Carol A. Megyes, 82, of Akron left this world and was called to her eternal home to be with the Lord peacefully in the arms of family that loved her on April 12, 2021 in her home. She was born in Akron, Ohio on February 24, 1939 to the late Thomas and Agnes (nee Marcinko) Orlando.
Carol was most known for her strength of character and her significant spirit made an impression on all who were lucky to meet her.
She was well known for her feisty personality and her lack of holding nothing back. She most definitely leaves us with a million laughs.

She had a passion for her family, her dogs (who were like her children), playing Texas Hold’em, which she was one of the best at and going to Casinos. She gave to numerous charities including, Catholic Charities and the Humane Society.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Megyes; sister, Angeline Semuqa; brother, Salvatore Orlando. She leaves to cherish her memory, step-son, Troy (Kim) Megyes; step-daughter, Kim (Fritz Greth); four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Loretta Rhodes; brother, Jim Orlando; nieces and nephews, Anthony Orlando, Stephanie Semuqa, Lisa Bloom, Michelle Semuqa, Kelly Bedford, Thomas Orlando and James Orlando; dogs, Mugsy and Foxy
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home with Fr. Jeremy Merzweiler officiating. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
