Chester E "Fritz" Collmar was born to Chester and Beulah (nee Linton) Collmar on April 26, 1952. He passed away peacefully at his home on January 5, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
In his younger days he was a wild one with a great sense of humor and a love of life. After high school he enlisted in the United State Army. Once he completed his service, he returned to his hometown of Barberton, Ohio. He worked in many trades but found his knack for auto mechanics. Above most he was a family man who was honest, hardworking and dedicated to making the lives of others better. Chester made a positive impact on the lives of so many. He didn't define family just as blood, he opened his heart and home to countless friends and relatives in need. He was the man we all counted on. He loved hunting at his "property" in Vinton County, Ohio. Chester was an avid stock car racer and enthusiast. He was deeply loved by all that knew him, and he will be greatly missed. He was a real life "Superman".
He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Shelly Collmar; children, Stacie, Tynoa, Cheston "Chet" (Davi), Joshua and Veronica Collmar; stepson, Michael Brumbach and stepdaughter, Taylor Hunt; twenty-seven grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; brothers, Jess (Toots) Collmar, Gary Collmar and sister, Chirley (Bill) Bender; sisters-in-law, Robin and Shelia King; nephews, Billy Bender and Matt Duskey; niece, Mandy Duskey, countless nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Nevada Collmar; daughter, Darcy Collmar; great grandson, Denver Collmar; brothers, Butch Collmar and Bob Linton; sister, Beverly Lowery; mother-in-law, Donna King and friends, Gary, Spry and Jim Croft.
