David J Espy

David J. Espy passed away February 24, 2015 after a long illness. David was born July 6, 1943 Everett E. Espy and Anna M. Amma.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brothers Robert and Donald Espy. David is survived by his loving wife and best friend of over 20 years, Eileen Espy; his older brother, Everett (Joanne) Espy; his sister-in-laws, Gerri Espy and Linda Espy; his children, Steve (Kelly) Espy, Kathleen Davisson, Julie (Steve) Sample and Andrew Thompson; grandchildren, Matthew, Alicia, Nathan, Joshua, Kaleb, Tiffany, Hannah, Holly, Isabel, Drew and Luke; great grandchildren, Zipporah and Alyss.

David worked at Goodyear Tire for 20 years as a printer and at Portage Country Club for 15 years, which he truly loved and took great pride in his work. David loved people and would start a conservation with everyone he met. He never considered anyone a stranger. David will truly be missed by all that knew him, even his beautiful dog Jake who sits in his recliner waiting for him to come home.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the Akron General Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care Center for their kind and compassionate care of David and the family.

A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Kenmore Church of the Nazarene, 2025 12th St SW, Akron, Oh 44314 with Rev. Terry Passmore officiating. Please visit with the family at the conclusion of the memorial service.
