David H. Heasley, 73, of Akron went home to be with the Lord April 16, 2015. A life resident of the area, David retired as a teacher for the Akron Public Schools, was a reserve for the Springfield Police Department, a Veteran of The United States Navy.

David attended Garfield High School, Kent State University and The University of Akron where he received his Master's Degree. He was a proud Eagle Scout, Past Worshipful Master for Coventry-Akron Lodge #83 F&AM, Past Commander in Chief for The Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Akron where he was a 33rd degree, a member of the Senior DeMolay Temple Chapter Order of DeMolay and Active DeMolay Legion of Honor.

Preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mary Lou Heasley; he is survived by his ex-sister wive's, Judy Heasley and Sandy Heasley; daughter, Christina and grandson Noah.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 5-7 Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, where Coventry-Akron Lodge #83 will conduct a Masonic service at 6:30. Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Roma officiating. Burial to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family request's that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any First Merit Bank on behalf of Noah Heasley Benevolent College Fund.
