Delores (Daghir) Reynolds, passed away after a brief illness on February 2, 2017. Born in Akron and longtime area resident, she was a graduate of Kenmore High School.
Dee owned and operated Dee’s Beauty Salon in Kenmore for many years and received numerous awards in state-wide styling competitions. Dee loved the sun and beach and enjoyed the company of her ever-present German Shepherd dogs over the years. Dee and Reed met at Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio, and they were married soon thereafter.
She joined him at Fort Sill, Oklahoma while he completed his Army service before returning to Akron where they made their home. Dee was a charming, graceful, and entertaining hostess, supporting Reed in his many business and fraternal leadership positions.
Preceded in death by her parents, James and Emma (Nash) Daghir; she is survived by her beloved husband, E. Reed; sister, Laura Wright (nee Daghir) of Salem, South Carolina; niece, Debra Griffes (Wilt) and her husband Michael of Alexandria, Virginia and nephew, James Wilt and wife Diana of New Braunfels, Texas, and six grand nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd., Akron. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Francie Fischer officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
