Denny W. Board, 73, of Akron went home to be with the Lord, November 16, 2021. He was born August 19, 1948 in Spencer, West Virginia to the late Walter and Frances (nee Harris) Board.
He was a life resident of the area. He graduated from Kenmore High School class of 1967. He was a veteran of the United States Army and awarded a Purple Heart for injuries he sustained. He last worked in the building maintenance department for King Apartments.
Denny was loud and a little rough around the edges, but if you were lucky enough to know him you knew he was one of a kind. He was loving, kind, loyal and generous. If he, had it and you needed it, it was yours. He always had a smile and a wave. If he met you, he never forgot you. He loved riding his Harley, and his family and friends and a cold beer.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Fred. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; brother, Kenneth; daughter, Cathy Toomey; stepsons, Mark and Gary Campbell; step-daughter, Lori Campbell; grandchildren, Thomas Toomey, Mark Campbell, Ty Nestor and Carmen Del-Rossi; great grandson, Noah; nephews, Chris, Brian, Dusten and Jeremy Board.
A special thank you to his buddies Jack Toomey for being his wing man for the last fifty years, Daryl McAvinew, Jimmy McCarthy, Bobby Dobrich, Steve Blaisdel for only being a phone call away. He loved you guys.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and burial will be held in the springtime at Ohio Westerrn Reserve National Cemetery.
