Diana J Chamberlin, born on February 13, 1948, in Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, in her beloved hometown of Akron. Diana was a woman of many passions and interests, who dedicated her life to family, animals, and the beauty of the natural world.

As a loving mother, Diana is survived by her daughter, Melanie Hornbeck (Steve Vazsonyi), and her son, Matthew Oplinger. She cherished each moment spent with her grandchildren: Krystal (Ronnie) Ammons, Desiree (Michael) Roberts, Alyssa (Drew), Andrew, Leah, Tara, and Kadin. The joy of being a grandmother extended further, as she embraced her role as a great-grandmother to Alexis, Ronnie III, Sesilee, and Hudson. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she often found delight in their achievements and adventures.

Diana had a profound love for animals and was known for her skills as a dog groomer, which showed her dedication to caring for and nurturing all creatures great and small. Her passion for riding horses and spending time outdoors brought her immense joy, as did traveling and fishing alongside her husband. Music was another important facet of her life, serving as a constant companion that enriched her experiences.

Diana's legacy is also colored by the memories of her late family members, including her father, Richard Goodwin, her mother, Barbara Pfost, late husband, Mick Chamberlin and her son, Michael Oplinger, who left indelible marks on her life.

Diana J Chamberlin will be remembered not only for her nurturing spirit and unwavering love for her family but also for her zest for life and the many moments she cherished throughout her remarkable journey. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Per Diana's request cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
