Donald P. Schimmoeller, 75 yrs. of Akron, went home to be with the Lord, September 28, 2013. A life resident of the area, Don retired from Allsides after 33 yrs, service. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Eagles Aerie #2736, Barberton Liedertafel and the Sokol Club.
Preceded in death by his parents; Myron and Mary Huh Schimmoeller, sister; Dorothy Ann and brother; Kenneth, he is survived by his sisters; Joann (Everett) Espy of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Mary Jane Andrews of Norton, former wife and best friend Carol Schimmoeller of Akron, sister-in-law; Margaret Schimmoeller, several nieces, nephews and friend Lula McClung.
Friends may call from 5-7 PM, Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Chapel 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, October 3, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Barberton, with Rev. Matthew Pfeiffer officiating. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
