Together Again

Doris J. Powell, 85, of Akron went home to be with the Lord, March 6, 2019 which was her 85th birthday. She was one of eight children born to Joseph and Jennie Costilow in West Union, West Virginia

She was a beautician and had a beauty shop in her home for over thirty years.

Preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband and love of her life of sixty three years, Sherman J. Powell; sister, Mary; brother, Walter and great grandson, Benton; she leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Joe, son and daughter-in-law, Jay (Marie) Powell; grandchildren, Kelly (Brian), Nicole, Karen (Randy), Jay C (Stephanie) and Chad; special great-granddaughter, Kendall; great grandchildren, Taylor, Kayli, Austin, Faith, Izzy, Koda, Arianna, Graham and Groot (expected in June); her dog, Fitz; brother, Bud; sisters; Nelda, Fran, Bernice and Ona; many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to send a special thank you to U.S. Renal Care (Barberton) for all your care you gave her and to Dr. Steve and Dr. Laurie.
