Joanne Snyder, our beloved and devoted Aunt went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 3, 2022, at the age of 92.
She was born in Akron, Ohio on January 26, 1930, to the late Charles L. and Dorothea (Parker) Snyder.
She was raised in the Kenmore area and graduated from Kenmore High School. She worked for Acme, as a cashier and head cashier and retired after 40 years of service. She enjoyed living in the Uniontown/Hartville area for the last 30 years of her life where she made several new friends.
She was a God loving woman who cherished spending time with her family and friends. Her many interests over the years included, hiking, bicycling, photography, traveling, knitting/crocheting and nurturing her flower beds. Sports were also a favorite of hers. She enjoyed watching Ohio State and all our Cleveland teams.
We will always cherish the memories of Aunt Joanne’s selfless love for her siblings, nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dick and Marlin Snyder; and her sisters, Lois Smith, Barbara Ritchie and Jackie Reitz and sister-in-law, Penny Snyder; also, nephew and wife, Jimmy and Shelley Walkley. She is survived by close nieces, Julie (Harry) Fincher and Jill (Chris) Hodges. Also, sister-in-law, Erna Snyder and brother-in-law, Steve Reitz; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
