Dorothy Ann Alderman

Dorothy Alderman, 61, went home to be with the Lord after a short illness. Dorothy was born January 23, 1962 in Burgettstown, PA.

She was a loving devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She enjoyed things like listening to music, sitting outside, being on the phone with her kids, being around people and hanging out with her granddaughter, Cari. She loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte Huggins and Paul Alderman; her son, Eric Lamont Dorsey; sons-in-law, Nell and Girard and her best friend, Norma. She leaves to cherish her memories to her daughters, Candice, Jessica and Nicole Dorsey; the father of her children, George Dorsey and her former boyfriend, Carlos Grandison.

Dorothy's memories will live through her grandkids; special grandkids, Nicari and Jayshawn, Johneisha, Mercedes, Dhazae, Marquel, Anton, Ayon, Danasia, Darren, Ayona and Ariona; followed by nine great grandkids; special friends, Harold and Julius.

GOD SAW YOU GETTING TIRED AND A CURE WAS NOT TO BE. SO, HE PUT HIS ARMS AROUND YOU AND HE WHISPERED "COME TO ME". WITH TEARFUL EYES WE WATCHED YOU FADE AWAY. ALTHOUGH WE LOVED YOU DEARLY, WE COULD NOT MAKE YOU STAY. A GOLDEN HEART STOPPED BEATING, HARDWORKING HANDS AT REST. GOD BROKE OUR HEARTS TO PROVE TO US HE CHOSE TO TAKE THE BEST. IT'S LONESOME HERE WITHOUT YOU. WE MISS YOU MORE EACH DAY. LIFE DOESN'T SEEM THE SAME SINCE YOU HAVE GONE AWAY. WHEN DAYS ARE SAD AND LONELY AND EVERYTHING GOES WRONG, WE SEEM TO HEAR YOU WHISPER "cheer up and carry on". EACH TIME WE SEE YOUR PICTURE YOU SEEM TO SMILE AND SAY "Don't cry, I'm in God's hands we'll meet again someday".

Funeral Services will be held 6 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron with Pastor Dwayne Ray officiating.
