Garland G Truman

Garland Garrett Truman, 83, of BARBERTON, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on February 8, 2018. Garland was born in Oka, West Virginia on December 5, 1934.

He worked at General Tire in Akron for 23 years and was a member of Wayfarer Lodge # 789 F. & A.M. Garland was a wonderful, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.

Preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Zoa (Jarvis) Truman; sisters, Janice Jett and Linda Webb; he is survived by his loving wife, Ruth; sons, Tony (Angie) and Roger Truman; grandchildren, Garrett (Kelly) and Nick Truman; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Garland and Daniel Truman; sister, Margie (Dallas) Giles

and several wonderful nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, where Wayfarer Lodge # 789 F. & A.M. will conduct a Masonic service at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home with Pastor Dwight Strickland officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
