Geneva M Amtsberg, 94, passed away from kidney failure on October 25, 2022.

Geneva was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, where she graduated from Collinwood High School and attended Fenn College. In her late fifties, she returned to school and became a proud Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Hiram College. After raising her children, Geneva worked as a secretary and eventually retired from BF Goodrich. She was a member of the Firestone Park Presbyterian Church.

Geneva was an avid volunteer, serving as a Girl Scout and Brownie leader, PTA President at two public schools, cofounder of the GEMS group, and a docent for the Summit County Historical Society. She was also extremely generous, donating to dozens of charities. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and studying history. She loved traveling around the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom.

Geneva was preceded in death by her father, John Waple; mother Elsie, Waple and brother, James Waple. She is survived by her husband of seventy-one years Donald; daughter, Holly Amtsberg; son, Keith Amtsberg (Anne Marie) and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2022 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 1 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Frances Fischer officiating. Burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army, 190 S. Maple St. Akron, Ohio 44302.
