Glenn R Mcalarney

Glenn R. McAlarney, 83, of Akron went home to be with the Lord March 19, 2014. Glenn was a life resident of the area and retired as a truck driver for Chez-Del.
Glenn proudly served in the United States Army in the Medical Co. 172 Infantry Regiment, 43 Infantry Division. He enjoyed taking long walks, especially around Summit Lake.
Preceded in death by his parents; Joseph and Maude (Milton) McAlarney, brothers; Eddie and John, sisters; Betty Stemple and Annie Radish, he leaves behind his sister; Cathy Mitchell, sister-in-law; Barbara McAlarney, companion; Judy Deem, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 5-7 pm Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, where funeral services will be held at 7 pm with Minister Susan Teeple officiating. Burial will be held 1:30 on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. FOR THOSE THAT WISH TO ATTEND PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY.
