Jack L. Anderson, 93, of Akron passed away peacefully at his lakefront home with his family by his side on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Jack was a life resident of the area, a graduate of Kenmore High School class of 1940 and a veteran of the United States Army.
He was an avid sports fan, an All City Baseball Player for Kenmore High School, which he was very proud of, enjoyed going to Art's Place and loved sitting down by the lake.
Preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Hazel Anderson; beloved wife, Marie; son, Jack; brother, Harry and sister, Beverly; he leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Karen (Robert) Peterson; son, Richard Anderson; granddaughters, Theresa Peterson, Becca Salter and Madaline Anderson; grandson, Ronan Salter.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jack's caregivers and guardian angels, Dianna McDowell, Shirley Cody and Judy Calderone.
Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held.
