Jack Arthur Toomey

Jack Arthur Toomey, 79, of BARBERTON passed away suddenly on January 15, 2024.

He was born at Barberton Citizens Hospital on March 21, 1944 to the late William and Josephine (nee Skinner) Toomey. He was a 1962 graduate of Kenmore High School and retire from Goodyear Rubber & Tire after thirty five years’ service.

Jacks house was always a location where friends and family were welcome.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Patrick and John; sister, Nancey Cole and step-daughter, Alisha Schlagenhauser. He is survived by his wife, Rose; children, Barbara Handerson and Jack (Stacey) Toomey; grandchildren, Jimmy, Billy and Michael Henderson, Tara Mancillia, Jack Jr. (Cheyenne) Toomey and Joseph Toomey; many great grandchildren; brother, Mike (Sandy) Toomey; sisters, Marjorie (Jack) Hurdt and Kathy Kennedy; lifelong friends, Joey Babos and Denny Board.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
