James O. McAfee,87, passed away September 23, 2017. He was born in Akron Ohio where he lived his entire life.
He was a US military veteran of the Korean conflict serving as a Master Sargent in the US Army. He retired from the ACME, Fred Albrecht company with 36 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James O. and Evelyn McAfee; he is survived by brothers, Richard (Bird) McAfee of Huber Heights, Ohio and Gary K (Heather) McAfee, of Clinton, Ohio; Nephews, Greg (Naomi) McAfee and their children, Travis and Tiffany of Bellbrook, Ohio, Todd McAfee and his daughter, Myranda of Galion, Ohio and Brad (Tahanya) McAfee and their children, Taylor (Hunter) Birch and Bradley McAfee Jr. of Mansfield, Ohio; Nieces, Tracee (Greg) McAfee of Clinton, Ohio, Wendy (Dave) McAfee-Lucak of Charlotte, NC and Jessica McAfee of Huber Heights, Ohio. All his special friends and neighbors from Brittany Commons- Akron, Ohio.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, Ohio. Funeral services will be Saturday
at 10:00 a.m at the Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Sterner officiating. Burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans Association at www.vfw.org
