Jean M Shanholtz

Jean M. Shanholtz, 69, of New Franklin, went home to be with the Lord, January 14, 2025.

A life resident of the Portage Lakes area, Jean retired from the Summit County Auditor’s office in 2009, after 36 years of service.

Jean’s passion for shoes and purses is legendary. Her sense of humor and ability to connect with everyone she met was a gift. In her 69 years, Jean touched many lives. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed and remembered by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her mother, Louise Shanholtz; brother, Jeff Shanholtz; she is survived by her father, Richard Shanholtz; nieces, Whitney and Ashley Shanholtz; great niece and nephews, Carter, William, Fallon and Freddie; and beloved kitty Elsie.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd., Akron. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Pastor Lisa Arledge officiating. Private inurnment to follow.
