JOHN M. CASTNER John M. Castner 62 years of Akron went home to be with the Lord, February 20, 2014. A life resident of the area, he was Meat Manager for Acme for many years.

Preceded in death by his parents Aelred and Elizabeth Stadvec Castner, brothers Corky and Pat, he is survived by daughters, Stephanie (Michael) Hazinski and Dr. Rebecca Castner, both of Chicago, sisters, Theresa (J T) Thomas, Kathy (Mike) Bilich, and brother, Paul (Barb) Castner, all of Akron.

Friends may call 5-8PM Sunday and Monday 9:15 to 10:15 AM, at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Chapel, 788 Kenmore Boulevard. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM, Monday February 24, 2014, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church with Fr. Edwin Leonard officiating. Private family inurnment to follow.
