John C Thomas

John C. Thomas, 58, passed away, at home, Wednesday, January 15, 2025, with his sister at his side. John fought a hard battle with cancer, in the end joining his parents and other siblings in heaven.

John was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio. He worked as a Project Manager at ABM Industries and was there for thirty-five years. John’s favorite hot spot was the Pegasus Bar. He even had his own bar stool. He also had many, many wonderful friends, including the owner, Miranda. If he didn’t show up, she would call to check on him.

John was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jeanne; his older brothers, James and Joseph and an older sister, Jeannie. Also, brothers-in-law, Ken, Tony, Bruce and Hobert. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, sisters, Janet, Jeralyn and Joanne (Joe) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He leaves behind childhood friends that he’d known for forty plus years, Keith, Ginger, Richard and Rob.

He had so many amazing and wonderful friends that didn’t hesitate to come running when called. They are and always will be greatly appreciated. I want to thank all that helped, especially Keith, Geri, Rick, Willie, Bruce and Michael, just to name a few.

John will be cremated and there will be no services per his request. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
