Joseph P Volovar

JOSEPH P. VOLOVAR KD8 ADM, 64, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family and friends, August 23, 2015.

Joseph was a loving husband, father and grandfather who served in the United States Air Force. He worked for Summit County for 30 years, enjoyed fishing, ham radio, coaching baseball and was a member of the Kenmore VFW.

Preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Lindsey; brother, John Volovar; survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Terri; daughter, Karen Pamer; son, Brian (Dianne) Volovar; grandchildren, Brittney, Brian, Tyler, Will, Taylor, Bailey and Karley; sister, Trisha (Dallas) Smith of North Carolina; and loving aunt Mim.

Friends may call from 5:30-6:30 TONIGHT at the Kenmore Community Church of the Nazarene, 2025 12 St SW Akron, where a memorial service will follow at 6:30 with Pastor Terry Passmore officiating. Inurnment will take place 10:30 Monday, August 31, 2015 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. For those that wish, memorials can be made to either the church or Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, Ohio 44333 in Joe's name.
