Joseph Alan Waller, 61, of Akron passed away peacefully in his home July 20, 2021, due to various health conditions. Born in Akron, Ohio he moved to California at the age of 14. He was a noseguard at Capo Valley High School where he was nicknamed "Harpo". He participated in wrestling, bench pressing, track & field, and taught many classmates how to dance.

He enlisted in the Army on his 18th birthday. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division receiving ribbons for Army and overseas service, badges for parachute, marksman M-16, sharp shooter, hand grenade, expert infantryman and air assault.

Joe loved to be around family and friends, playing pranks and telling jokes. He loved to play pool, shoot darts, ride his Harley and sing karaoke.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elizabeth (nee Hoskin) Waller, brother, Robert (Bobby) Waller. He is survived by his wife, Kim Wilson Waller, children, Jessica Litton, Michael Litton, Joseph Litton and Thomas Litton; siblings, Lisa Waller, Christine (Nick) McCallum, John (Beth) Waller, AnneMarie Waller, David (Julie)Waller and Jason Miller; numerous nieces, nephews, grandkids and great grandkids.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd Akron. Funeral Services will be held 12 noon Monday July 26, 2021 at The Church on the Blvd, 754 Kenmore Blvd, Akron with Pastor Ron Mohlmaster officiating. Burial to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. For those that wish, memorial contributions in Joseph name can be made to St. Jude's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
