Joyce (Reid) Hileman

Joyce (Reid) Hileman passed away peacefully September 10, 2023. She was born in Amsbry, PA, May 5, 1925, to Dallas Reid and Cleo St. John Reid. Joyce graduated from Akron Central High and was married to Irvin David Hileman on October 4, 1946. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed bingo, and winter trips to Myrtle Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin, and son-in-law, Wayne Cormany, and is survived by children, David (Monica), Paddy Cormany, Kathy (Rod) Thomas, Missy (Richard) Zupancic Sandy, and Dennis. Cherishing memories of their “Grandmama” are eleven grandchildren; Melissa, David Jr, Justin, Cassie, Colleen, Kimi, Rodney II, Scott, Kara, Patrick and Ryan, and twenty seven great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass at St Matthew’s Church, 2603 Benton Avenue, Akron Friday, September 22, 2023, 10:30 am. Visitation one half hour prior. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
