Juanita J Wilkerson

Juanita Wilkerson, 91, of Akron, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021. She was born August 30, 1930 in Akron.

Juanita lived in Akron her entire life. She attended South High School and eventually settled down in Akron’s Kenmore neighborhood where she lived for a little more than 60 years. Juanita was a very loving and caring person. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.

In the early years, Juanita was a stay home mom until she eventually ventured out into the workplace. For years, Juanita was the Secretary at the Etta Mae Smith Studio of Dance. Juanita also worked as an Assistant Manager at Petrie’s in Rolling Acres Mall and she also worked with handicapped children at Barret School. She also was very active in the Kenmore Community as she is a retired member of the Kenmore Kiwanis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wilkerson; parents, Myrtie and Bob Booker. Juanita is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Wilkerson) Musarra, her grandson, Michael Musarra and her son-in-law, Anthony Musarra, niece, nephews and close friends.

A Graveside Service will be held 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Ohio Western reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, Ohio 44270 with Pastor Terry Passmore officiating FOR THOSE WISHING TO ATTEND PLEASE BE AT THE CEMTERY BY 12:30.
