KIM L. PURTAN (VANDEVER) Kim L. Purtan (Vandever), 43, of Akron passed away unexpectedly May 22, 2014. Born March 25, 1971 in Akron to William and Nancy Vandever. She was a graduate of the University of Akron with a degree in Nursing, a life member of the V.F.W. Post #3383 and the Hibernians. Kim loved to camp and had a mischievous sense of humor.
Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents, she is survived by her daughters; Samantha Purtan (Jeff Sherman), Cynthia Harger (Justin Meyers) both from Akron, her parents; William and Nancy Vandever, brothers; Kevin and Keith, nieces; Kendra and Chessa Vandever all from Akron and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins across the country.
Friends may call from 1-3 pm Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, where funeral services will be held at 3 pm. For those that wish flowers may be donated to the charity of your choice.
