Larry L Kitchen

Larry L. Kitchen,73, of BARBERTON passed away on June 17, 2023 at Barberton Hospital. Larry was born on October 1, 1949 to Eldon and Helen Kitchen.

He was a graduate of Kenmore High School and worked for the local Ford dealer for twenty six years until he retired in 2015.

Larry was married for twenty two years to his wife, Sandra Kitchen. They enjoyed taking trips to Mayberry, NC, home of The Andy Griffith Show. Larry was a very successful bowler with ten 300 games. He also loved watching sports, especially when his grandkids played.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sandra Kitchen; brothers, George (Pam) and Russ (Gilda); nephews, Jeff, Craig, Mark and Steve; aunt, June; stepchildren, Rich and Mark (Denise) Lushes; grandchildren, Aubrey, Kailey (Tom), Jacob and Brendan; great-grandchildren; Hunter, Harley and Ellie; mother-in-law, Sandra Swiger; brother-in-law, Glen (Diane) Simmons and numerous friends and family. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A Memorial Service will be held at Wintergreen Ledges Church of God, 1889 Vernon Odom Blvd, Akron, Ohio on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 5 p.m. Friends may call one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers for those that wish, memorial donations in Larry’s name can be made to the Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 E. Market St., Akron, Ohio 44308 or to a charity of your choice.
