Leola E (Wilson) Harkless
August 25, 1923 — October 13, 2014
Leola E. Harkless 91, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord October 13, 2014. A native of Vitandale Pa., she was an area resident most of her life. Leola was a member of Kenmore AARP and an active member of Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the Choir more than 50 years.
Preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Anna Wilson, her beloved husband Jesse, sisters Vera Wilson and Charlotte Flax and brother Lewis Wilson, she is survived by son, Larry (Shirley) Harkless of Akron, daughters Linda Harkless,of Cleveland, Jerri Lee (Michael)Schoen of Grant Park, Ill., Anna Mae (Roger) Claxton of Overland, Kans., Jeannette (James) Barnes of Barberton, Elizabeth (Pete) Hafler of Akron. 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Friends may call 5-8 PM, Friday at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be NOON, Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 820 White Pond Drive, Akron 44320, where Leola will lie in state one hour before service. Pastor Aaron Furman officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. For those that wish memorial contributions may be made to the church.
