Leroy “Lee” Street, 83yrs. of Akron, went home to be with the Lord, March 30, 2016. A native of Wapakoneta, Lee was an area resident most of his life. He retired from G.J. Myers as a Machinist after 25yrs, and owned and operated Street’s Mower for over 29 years.
Preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Daisy Street; brothers, Eugene and James; sister, Mildred Schrader; he is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Dolores “Dee”. Lee was a loving father to daughters, Pat (Dennis) Nettle of Norton, Vicki Richards (Ray Avorni) of Akron, Brenda (Jim) Darnell of Doylestown; sons, Dennis (Darlene), Ken (Linda) both of Coventry, and Vincent (Beth) Street of Barberton. He was a wonderful grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; and leaves his dear sister, Mary Engle of Green.
Friends may call TODAY, 5-8PM at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Chapel, 788 Kenmore Blvd.. Funeral service will be 11AM, Saturday, April 2,2016 at the Cornerstone Free Methodist Church, 578 Killian Rd, where friends may call one hour before service. Pastor Brenda Young officiating.
