Linda K (Kuchenbrod) Coletta

Linda K. Coletta, (nee Kuchenbrod), 76, passed away July 26, 2023 after a long illness. Born in Ohio on September 26, 1946, Linda was a lifelong resident of Akron who graduated from Kenmore High School in 1965.

She was a full time homemaker while her boys were growing up but also carried many part time jobs to fund their hobbies. Linda had been a member of Firestone VFW Post 3383 for several years before she fell ill. At the VFW she tended bar, volunteered for countless events, and even held the position of President of the Women’s Auxiliary for 1 year, of which she was very proud.

Linda will be remembered for being stubborn, fiercely loving of her family, and giving of her time and resources to those in need. Under a hard as nails exterior lived a kind, gentle, and funny woman who will be greatly missed by those that loved her.

Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Betty Kuchenbrod; Linda is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard; sons, Matthew (Mary Ellen) and Marc (Marianne) and grandson, Gabriel

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2023 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday August 1, 2023 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Michael B. Smith officiating. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
