Lorene A (White) Brown

March 31, 1951 — March 5, 2023

Lorene Ann Brown (nee White), loving child of Jesus, born to her earthly home on the 31st of March, 1951, entered her heavenly home on the 5th of March, 2023.

Since the day Jesus entered her heart, the world was always peachy keen with daisies growing everywhere. She shared her Savior and His love with her husband-to-be. She faithfully served Him at Goss Memorial Church for forty-six years, teaching the toddler Sunday School class and all children who attended during the service.

She retired from Akron General Medical Center after forty-six years where she was the Trayline Manager in Nutrition and Dietetics. She then ran Marge's Place, a tea gift shop in Portage Lakes, with her sister, where she enjoyed her retirement. She made everything beautiful with her touch and gave the best gifts. She poured out God's love to others, which overflowed from her heart. She loved shopping with her girls and spoiling her grandchildren. Her trips to Amish country, Yankee Peddler, Christmas in the Woods, Medina, Lodi and Volant were always a blessing that she looked forward to. She was fully dedicated to those who were most important to her: her Savior, her family, her church, and her friends. She will always be loved and missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Dorothy White (nee Kayn), Robert and Alice Brown (nee Harter), aunt Marjorie Newman, sister Rebecca Terrill, brother Glenn Brown, nephew Andrew Winchell, and an unborn grandchild. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Dennis, daughters Lori (Billy) Holmgren and Kelly Brady, grandchildren Adrian and Mikayla Brady and Lee Holmgren, siblings Neenah (Bruce) Winchell, Roger (Catherine) Terrill, Terry Brown who was also her favorite person, Dale (Michelle) Brown, and Bob (Debi) Brown, cousin Carol (Blaine) Mayer, many nephews and nieces, and dear friends.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11th at Goss Memorial Church, 2247 11th St. SW, Akron, with Pastor Kevin Burkholder officiating. Burial to follow at Lakewood Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kathryn Clark, hospice nurses and massage therapist who tenderly cared for her at home, and everyone who poured back love to her with meals, flowers, and letters. She treasured you all and felt so blessed. She would want more than anything for those she loved to know Christ and to spread the Gospel. She loved children. In memory of her, donations can be made to Goss Memorial Church and directed to the Children's Ministry.
