Louis Milton Miller, age 92, joined his Savior on November 16, 2018.
Born in Vancouver, Washington and raised at Mooseheart Child City facility in Illinois, Louis became a Veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired as a Corporate Manager at Akron Standard Mold Co.
Louis was an ordained Elder at Firestone Park Presbyterian Church in Akron, Ohio, an accomplished woodworker, vocalist, golfer and dedicated family patriarch.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Gloria, children Jeff (Wendy) and Kari, grandchildren Jeff Solosky, Lori Eggert, Ryan Miller, Megan Arata, Chelsey Miller and 4 great-grandchildren Parker, Lily, Finley Solosky and Oliver Arata and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by sisters, Laura, Jean, Kay and brother, Warren.
Services will be held at Firestone Park Presbyterian Church 275 South Firestone Blvd. Akron, Ohio Monday November 19.
Calling hours 3:00 to 6:00 pm, service and reception immediately thereafter. Burial to be held Tuesday at 9:30 am at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. FOR THOSE THAT WISH TO ATTEND, PLEASE MEET AT THE SCHLUP PUCAK FUNERAL HOME, 788 KENMORE BLVD AKRON, BY 8:30 TUESDAY MORNING.
Louis lived by the motto from Mooseheart: “No man stands so straight or so tall as when he stoops to lift up a child”.
