Born October 26, 1962, the world lost a loving soul on December 8, 2018. Scott, as he was known by family and friends, has gone to be with family and friends who went before him to that glorious kingdom.
A 1985 graduate of Hiram College, he majored in Religion and Political Science and minored in Middle Eastern Studies. Scott had a great sense of humor, loved music, gardening, camping, cooking, family and his dog, Shadow. Firestone Park Presbyterian Church benefited from his musical gift as he served as organist, choir director and lately, substitute accompanist. He loved his church family and always felt that love returned.
Scott wrote that the love of his family was his greatest gift; leaving parents, Jim and Becky Draper; sister, Kim (Jim) Clevenger; brother, Jim Draper; niece, Megan Clevenger; nephews, Ryan Clevenger and Kellan Draper were "his kids".
A Celebration of Life will take place 12:00 Noon Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Firestone Park Presbyterian Church, 275 S. Firestone Blvd., Akron, Ohio 44301 with Rev, Frances Fischer officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time. A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
We all take comfort in knowing we will meet again. Until then, Scott will remain in our many happy memories and in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Covenant House at
http://www.covenantthouse.org
in his memory or Firestone Pak Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund in his name.
