MADELINE J. HAYES

Madeline J Hayes, 91 years of Akron,

went home to be with the Lord,

September 22, 2013 in Moss Point, Mississippi.

“Grandma” to everyone that knew her, was a native of

Mannington, W. Virginia, and an arearesident most of her life. During WWII, Madeline was a

2 nd Lt. in the Army Nurses Corp. and continued to serve others as a volunteer with the Red

Cross Blood Mobile. She was an active member of the Kenmore Community Church of the

Nazarene.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Mattie Straight Devine, brothers

John and Joseph Devine and her beloved husband, Harold, she is survived by

sons, Glenn (Carol) of Seattle, WA., Robert (Charlotte) of Covington, KY.,

Everett (Annette) of Wichita, KS., daughter, Carole Ann (John) Satterly of

Jewitt City, CT., 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great

grandson. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8 P.M., Wednesday , at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral

Chapel, 788 Kenmore Blvd. Graveside services will be 11 A.M., Thursday,

October 10, 2013 at  Greenlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Terry Passmore

officiating. VFW Post #3383 will render Military Honors. For those that wish

memorials may be made to M-1 Ministries, 123 A Hwy. 80 East #186,

Clinton, MS. 39056.
