Marilou Graves, 92, went home to Jesus and to be with her husband, Jack on March 7th, 2023 at Chapel Hill Community Nursing Home.
She was born on Wednesday May 7th, 1930 at Barberton Citizens Hospital to the late George and Elva Hood. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her parents, and great grandson, Jackson. She is survived by her son, Ed (Tanya) Graves; daughter, Suzanne (Jerry) Justiss; daughter, Becky (Jim) Taylor and son; Tom (Tania Weber) Graves; sister, Gloria (Jim) Price and brother, Richard (JoAnn) Hood; grandchildren, Dawn, Bill, Jack, Katrina, Christine, Jerry, Abbey, Jeff, Tifani, Jamie, Abbie, Eric, Megan, Andy, Dustin and Mallori; great grandchildren, Chloe, Lydia, Darby, Noel, Gavin, Noah, Landen, Grayson, Griffin, Benson, Bowman, Tony and Milly.
Marilou was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was witty, funny, smart, spiritually and mentally strong. She and dad taught us about Jesus. Above all, she loved the Lord, her husband, her family, and her pets. She also loved Kenmore. She was a proud homemaker and member of the Pfeiffer PTA. She worked as a registrar for the University of Akron, Kenmore Woolworth 5&10, and the Kenmore Bakery.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, March 12th, 2023 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon Monday at the Funeral Home with Ed Graves, and Jim Taylor officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
