Mark A. Thompson, 58 passed away April 18, 2020. He was born August 3, 1961 to the late McNeal Thompson and Laura J. Thompson.
Mark attended Akron Public Schools graduating from South High School in 1979. He loved to dance and listen to music. Mark was an avid sports fan especially enjoying football and boxing.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Kesha Thompson; brothers, Robert and Tolliver Vaughn, nephew, Maurice Hammonds and great niece, Niya Davis of St. Pete's, Fl. He leaves to cherish his memory sons, Mark Thompson Jr. and Herchel Thompson; sister (who loved him dearly), Maxine of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, McNeal (Diedre) Thompson Jr, of Akron, Oh, Johnnie (Shirley) Moore of New Bern, NC, Rev. Wilbert (Minnie) Vaughn of Tylertown, MS and Willie Thompson of Sacramento, Ca; grandchildren; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron, Friends may call one hour prior to service time. Burial to follow at Mt. Peace cemetery. Condolences may be sent to 858 Bisson Ave, Akron, Ohio 44307
