Mary J. Moore, 91, of Akron went home to be with the Lord, October 17, 2016. A life resident of the area, Mary was born to the late Alfred and Hilda Rootes.
She was very active in Ohio Eastern Star Legacy Chapter #596 and Daughters of the Mokanna Nazir Caldron #27. She was a former girl scout, an avid crafter who loved to crochet and sew.
Preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Hilda Rootes; beloved husband, Ralph; she is survived by her children, Ralph III (Nikki), Denise Moore and Dorothy Ballard; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren and grand puppy, Zippy.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Park United Methodist Church,

with Pastor Amy Shaw officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
