Michael W Burkhart

Michael W. Burkhart, 54, of Akron went home to be with the Lord, September 9, 2022. He was born April 6, 1968 in Akron, Ohio to the late George and Ann (nee Gilbride) Burkart.

Mike was a graduate of Kenmore High School and a devoted catholic. He worked at Goodwill Industries and was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenmore where he was an altar server. He loved shopping on E-Bay and science fiction movies, especially Star Wars and Star Trek. He was a good brother, nephew and cousin.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; he is survived by his brother, Christopher; aunt, Wilda (Jerry); uncles, Chuck Gilbride, Mark (Judy-deceased) Gilbride, Dave (Charlotte) Gilbride, Frank (Anne) Burkhart and cousins, Janet, Sonja, Rhonda, Danielle, Liberty, Heather, Charles, Becky, Cathy, Jennie, Julie, Jeff, Charla, Greta, Matthew, Jeremy, Frank Jr., Chip, Christina, Fred, Sandy, Mary plus numerous friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, corner of 16th St. and Battles Ave. in Kenmore with Fr. Sam Ciccolini officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to mass.
