Michael A Gombaski

Michael A. "Corky" Gombaski, 61, of BARBERTON went home to be with the Lord, September 12, 2021. He was born on September 24, 1959 in Barberton, Ohio to Andrew and Martha (nee Moore) Gombaski Sr.

Prior to living in Barberton he lived in Meadville, PA where he was a butcher. Once in Barberton he worked for Signet Jewelers and was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol Club and Slovene Center. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, boating, camping, cooking and the Cleveland Indians. He was very quick wit with a sense of humor and always enjoyed being the center of attention.

Preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Clemmer and Genevieve Moore; he leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Martha; children, Michael Lucas Gombaski Jr. of Akron; daughter, Katherine Gombaski of Canton; mother of his children and friend, Jill Young; grandchildren, Jacob, Mason and Madelynn French; sister, Jennie (Michael) Barclay of Barberton; brothers, Andrew (Rhonda) of St. Mary's, GA, William (Barb) Gombaski of Barberton and Steven (Jeannie) Gombaski of Barberton; uncles, Clemmer Moore of Meadville, PA and Floyd Moore of Barberton; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to thank Summa Hospice for the wonderful care given to Michael.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later time. For those that wish, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1690 W. Market St. Akron, Ohio 44317 in Michael's honor.
